Why do we recommend a delayed validity period?

We recommend that you set a 48 hour 'valid from' period on your gift vouchers.

Fraudsters will typically look to use a gift voucher before the cardholder has time to contact their bank which is usually within 48 hours of purchase.

Having a 48 hour period in place allows us to complete various fraud checks and dramatically reduce the chances of fraud at your venue.

If you choose not to have a redemption delay, Giftpro Protect will still warn you that an order might be suspicious, but it won't block redemption, and you may end up losing money.
